Clark County Regional Airport

The Clark Regional Airport serves Clark County Indiana, and is owned by the South Central Regional Airport Authority.
The airport has two runways. The longest is 18-36, which is currently 5,500 x 100 feet running North to South. Runway 14-32 is 3,899 x 75 feet running East to West.

The most recently published airport statistics report that there are 134 based aircraft on the field with an average of 122 landings/takeoffs per day, with 48% being transient general aviation, 40% local general aviation, and 12% air taxi.  There are two Fixed Based Operators on the field, Aircraft Specialists, Inc. on the South end of the field and Honaker Aviation on the North end of the field.

The facility is at an elevation of 474 feet and is at a distance of about six miles north of downtown Louisville, Kentucky.

The main runway is currently undergoing expansion to extend it from 5,500 feet to 7,000 feet, which will result in a runway which is larger than any at Bowman Field or Chicago’s Midway Airport.  This extension is not only to enable the airport to accept larger aircraft, but it will also allow for safer takeoffs and landings of all aircraft which utilize the airport.
